Somatic Work

Dance - Movement - Introspection - Play

What is it?

Somatic work is comparable to meditation or mindfulness. It’s a practice of becoming aware in a playful way, opening up new ways to perceive, feel, and reflect.

For whom?

Anyone who feels the need to deepen the connection with themselves, through curiosity, movement, dance, play and introspection.

Every body is welcome, every age and every ability

Somatic Work
What to expect?

Somatic Work is comparible with meditation or mindfulness.

With somatic work, you practice awareness. You take time and space to attentively notice what happens as you inhabit and move your body. You observe, explore, notice, feel, move!

Sessions are not therapy. It is a space for introspection and connection.

Through the practice of somatic work, it can feel as if you are more in your body, more grounded, and better connected to your wishes and boundaries. It can help you experience more relaxation and joy. By practicing it, you open up ways to feel free and safe to be yourself.

Somatic work can be playful, enjoyable, deep, messy, or completely neutral. It’s about authenticity in the moment, and therefore it’s never the same.

Teacher, artist, somatic facilitator, guide?

You move, and I create the space for safe expression. Sometimes I move with you, sometimes I give you all the space you need. I ask questions so that, as you move, you can explore.

I value an equal exchange. We dive deeper together.

I don’t make diagnoses and I don’t provide treatments. The sessions are not intended to be therapeutic, but they can have a therapeutic effect because you question and explore yourself with great compassion.

To practice somatic work, you don’t need to be an athlete or a dancer. While moving, you also don’t need to focus on aesthetics. There’s no need to try hard or meet any standard, you simply explore what is present in this moment.

Als je ergens over twijfelt, vragen hebt of dit bij je past, stuur me gerust een berichtje!
